The Role
A global private credit fund is hiring a Structured Finance Investment Analyst to join its Origination team in London. The position is full-time and based on-site. It is a junior role suited to a structured finance professional with at least two years of relevant analytical experience.
The fund manages approximately USD 6 billion in assets under management and focuses on fintech lending and private credit. The Origination team screens, structures, and executes structured private credit deals and manages relationships with loan originators globally.
The analyst will work closely with members of the Origination team, including the Head of Origination, and will be involved across the origination process from screening through to execution. Some travel is required for operational due diligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantitative analysis on large datasets from loan originators across various loan types to support investment decisions
- Calculate stratified performance analytics using originator data for benchmarking and investment decisioning
- Model performance of whole loan portfolios across scenarios defined with the Investments Analyst and Head of Origination
- Model performance of loan-collateralized structures across scenarios defined with the Investments Analyst and Head of Origination
- Research European lending markets to identify target markets
- Monitor developments in the European lending landscape to identify potential originator clients
- Conduct operational due diligence on originators to establish investment opportunities, including travel
- Develop scripts, models, and standardized processes to streamline analysis and reduce decisioning timelines
- Address intra-firm inquiries from second-line teams (credit, integrity, compliance) and third-line teams (finance, operations, data)
- Draft analytical documents for credit committee and senior management review
- Coordinate across teams to move deals through the execution process

Skills & Experience
- Prior experience working directly with structured products; securitization experience preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, mathematics, or engineering
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in the financial sector; bank, asset manager, direct lender, or private equity background preferred
- Functional knowledge of credit products; private credit experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Python for financial modelling on both asset and liability sides
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
