Investment Analyst - Public Markets Investments
We have exciting opportunities for Investment Analysts to join our Public Markets Investments team on a permanent basis, based in our London office with hybrid working.

The Role
The roles will support the research, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of multi-asset, systematic, and fundamental equity portfolios. They will combine quantitative research, portfolio analytics, and technology development, helping the team deliver robust investment outcomes while strengthening its shared data, research, and production infrastructure.
You’ll:
- Develop and maintain quantitative models to identify new investment opportunities, enhance portfolio construction approaches, and improve existing strategies across a multi-asset investment platform.
- Apply data science, programming, and analytical techniques to support fundamental equity research, creating models, tools, and dashboards that generate actionable investment insights.
- Partner with Portfolio Managers to monitor portfolio performance, risk, and exposures, providing analysis that supports informed investment decisions and effective portfolio management.
- Build and enhance datasets, analytical tools, and reporting capabilities, driving continuous improvement in data management, technology, and the adoption of innovative solutions, including AI.
- Produce clear and impactful analysis, reporting, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate across Investments, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Operations, contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, and strong governance.

This role is classified as a ‘Certified Person’ under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) and will therefore be subject to the additional requirements prescribed by the FCA.

The Person
We’re looking for an analytical and intellectually curious professional with strong attention to detail and objective judgment. A proactive and collaborative team player, able to communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly, take ownership of deliverables from inception to completion, and maintain high standards of research quality, integrity, and continuous learning.
You’ll ideally have:
- Approximately three years’ experience in quantitative investment research, systematic investing, portfolio analytics, quantitative risk, or a closely related role. This experience can include quantitative support within a fundamentally driven or macro research process.
- A strong academic background in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, physics, econometrics, or quantitative finance; a relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Practical experience using Python for data analysis, research, or model development; familiarity with SQL, version control, testing, and collaborative software-development practices is desirable.
- Practical experience using Bloomberg BQuant/BQL is a plus.
- Sound knowledge of statistics, econometrics, time-series analysis, and numerical methods, with the ability to design and evaluate robust empirical research.
- Understanding of financial markets and investment concepts, including portfolio risk, performance measurement, and systematic strategy implementation.
- Experience working with large financial datasets and producing reproducible analysis. Familiarity with cloud platforms, visualization tools, or machine-learning methods is beneficial.
