About Reinova Partners
Reinova Partners is a specialist energy transition infrastructure investment firm, co-founded by two former long-time executives of Brookfield Asset Management. We are a value-add investor focused on four themes: clean electricity, industrial and built environment decarbonisation, clean fuels and sustainability. We build platforms of high-quality energy transition businesses and drive business transformation in partnership with management teams. Reinova invests where it can add more than capital. The firm manages the Reinova Energy Transition Fund I on behalf of its own capital and institutional investors. Please visit www.reinovapartners.com for more information.
The Role
You will join a small, entrepreneurial investment team working across the full investment lifecycle: investment strategy development, transaction origination and execution and value creation. You will work directly with investment team leadership and have significant exposure to the founders, Investment Committee, target companies and management teams from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and own transaction models, including project finance, three-statement financial modelling and returns analysis, with sensitivities and downside cases.
- Screen new opportunities and develop investment theses.
- Coordinate commercial, technical, legal, tax and financial due diligence, and synthesise findings into clear investment conclusions.
- Draft Investment Committee papers and financing materials.
- Support execution of transaction documents through to financial close.
- Support on portfolio management including engagement with management teams on business plans, add-on acquisitions and value creation.
- Research markets, regulation, revenue models and policy across our themes.
- Associates are expected to lead workstreams and adviser relationships independently and able to progress the above independently and as part of a transaction team.
What We're Looking For
- 2–3 years' transaction experience at an infrastructure or private equity fund or alternatively in investment banking or M&A advisory.
- Direct deal experience in energy or utilities infrastructure, including at least one completed transaction.
- Strong financial modeling skills built from first principles. You must be able to build and defend a model independently – this will be tested through the process.
- Working knowledge of transaction due diligence management, transaction structuring and deal documentation.
- Deep intellectual curiosity about and passion for the energy transition. You must be able to go beyond the model to understand the technology, economics, policy and market, and have the ability to form independent, well-reasoned views.
- A commercial mindset: an understanding of how projects, companies and platforms are built and scaled.
- Clear, structured communication and strong attention to detail.
- A strong academic record, preferably in a quantitative discipline.
- Ownership, accountability and collaboration are key values at Reinova that couple with strong Individual work ethic and the drive to dig deeper, challenge assumptions and think independently in a small, fast-moving team.
