Job Description

You will evaluate high-stakes investment opportunities and lead due diligence for a fast-scaling legal finance firm. By building complex financial models and conducting deep credit analysis on borrowers and collateral, you will provide critical recommendations to an elite investment committee, directly influencing the deployment of principal capital into diverse legal assets.

What You Will Do

  • Lead comprehensive due diligence by assessing borrower creditworthiness and the value of underlying collateral across various consumer and business legal claims.
  • Construct bespoke financial models from scratch to forecast funding requirements, expected returns, and track collateral performance against strict covenants.
  • Research emerging legal case types to identify new investment collateral, developing success criteria and structuring complex funding agreements and terms.

The ideal candidate

  • Possesses 3+ years of experience in investment analysis, including at least 2 years specifically focused on rigorous credit analysis within finance or legal sectors.
  • Demonstrates expert-level financial modeling skills and the ability to evaluate risk versus return in complex, non-traditional asset classes like litigation funding.
  • Holds a degree in Finance, Law, or Economics, ideally supplemented by professional qualifications such as an LPC, CFA, or ACA.
