Investment Analyst – Real Assets

I'm working with a growing private investment firm to hire an Investment Analyst who invest in real assets and their associated operating companies.

This is a genuinely broad investment role within a small, highly entrepreneurial team – not a narrow seat where you'll spend two years doing one part of the investment process. You'll get exposure across sourcing and assessing opportunities, underwriting, execution, financing, portfolio management and exit.

The bar is high, so please take a look at the core requirements before applying:

  • A First or strong 2:1 from a leading university, in a highly quantitative degree – Mathematics, Economics/Econometrics, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar
  • Typically 1–2 years' professional experience in a highly analytical environment - this can include internships if you're a 2026 graduate.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical ability – this is fundamental
  • Strong Excel and ideally financial modelling skills
  • An intellectually curious, entrepreneurial mindset – able to get under the skin of unfamiliar businesses, sectors and investment opportunities
  • An existing and ongoing right to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why consider it?

You'll join a small team where Analysts work directly with experienced investors and get meaningful responsibility on live opportunities from an early stage. The strategy is flexible across real assets and the operating businesses built around them, so you'll develop as a genuine investment generalist rather than being pigeonholed into one sector.

There's also significant scope to grow with the platform – including transaction-level carry for high performers longer term.
