About the Swiss Re Graduates Programme
We’re looking for curious, motivated graduates with strong interpersonal skills who want to grow, learn, and make a difference. If you hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree and have up to three years of professional experience, apply for our Graduate Programme starting on 1 September 2027 (earlier start possible).
You’ll gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of reinsurance, rotate across different local teams, and receive tailored training to build your expertise. We manage a large, sophisticated portfolio designed to generate investment income and match the different risks we take across Life and Health, Property and Casualty, Specialty lines and global currencies.
You will rotate across several investment teams spanning public and private markets, gaining first-hand experience across the investment lifecycle. Working alongside experienced investment professionals, you will analyse markets, contribute to investment decisions and help solve real business challenges from day one.
Alongside your rotations, you will benefit from structured training, mentoring, exposure to senior leaders and support towards the CFA qualification. By the end of the programme, you will have developed a broad understanding of institutional investing, built a strong internal network, and established the foundation for a specialised career within Swiss Re Asset Management.
About the Role

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
