Job Description Summary: You will work collaboratively with our Investment Directors and fellow Investment Associates to provide investment and capital markets research, analysis, and advice to our clients. The role offers opportunities to participate in client and investment manager research meetings from the beginning.
You will be joining our Global Investment Services (GIS) division. You will work with multiple clients and support on several projects at once. While all our colleagues are responsible for arranging their priorities in order to meet deadlines, there is a strong culture of teamwork and cooperation among the practice groups to manage tasks and assignments. Although the position involves quantitative assessment, there is also a strong qualitative component in evaluating investment opportunities and formulating investment recommendations for clients. In addition to client work, you will have ample opportunities to get involved in business development and marketing as well as capital markets and fund manager research (investment due diligence). Right from the start, you will have direct exposure to and an opportunity to work with and learn from some of the firm’s most experienced Managing Directors across all asset classes. Furthermore, we will provide you with a mentoring and training scheme and support studies towards further qualifications such as CFA or CAIA (if not already obtained).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
