A leading UK-based venture capital firm is hiring an Investment Analyst or Associate to join its investment team.

The firm backs ambitious founders redefining the physical economy, investing primarily at Series A and around that stage across the UK, Europe and the US.

As an Investment Analyst or Associate, you will work across the full investment cycle, building conviction in the systems the firm backs and developing into a credible investor in your own right.

The role spans three core areas:

  • Sourcing and developing investment theses
  • Supporting diligence and investment execution
  • Working with founders before, during and after investment

Responsibilities:

  • Source opportunities: Identify promising founders and companies across the UK, Europe and US, developing a clear view of their potential.
  • Build relationships: Develop a strong network of founders, investors, operators and technical specialists.
  • Evaluate investments: Conduct market research, commercial analysis and financial modelling, and contribute to investment decisions and deal execution.
  • Develop expertise: Become an expert in specific markets or technologies and turn that knowledge into actionable investment insights.
  • Support the portfolio: Provide market intelligence, analysis and connections that help portfolio companies scale.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
