Investment Analyst - Fixed Income

Miryco Consultants are partnering with a highly regarded insurance asset manager to recruit an Investment Analyst to join their growing investment team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2+ years' investment operations, product control, investment accounting or portfolio support experience who is looking to develop their career within a sophisticated fixed income investment environment.

Working closely with the Head of Portfolio Management and wider investment team, you'll play a key role in supporting portfolio management, investment reporting and investment operations while helping to enhance reporting, controls and analytics across the investment function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Portfolio Management team with investment accounting activities.
  • Assist in the production of monthly P&L reporting, analysis and performance commentary.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of investment data within Clearwater Analytics.
  • Develop and enhance Excel and Power BI dashboards covering portfolio composition, P&L, KPIs and management information.
  • Partner with Finance and Treasury teams on investment accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Book investment trades and transfers through custody platforms.
  • Prepare investment reporting for Board packs and senior management.
  • Monitor investment compliance and maintain the Clearwater compliance module.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations between custodians and investment systems including Clearwater and Aladdin.
  • Support the continual improvement of reporting processes, automation and data quality.

About You

  • 2+ years' experience in an investment analyst, investment operations, product control, investment accounting or portfolio support role.
  • Experience within insurance or a strong understanding of insurance balance sheets would be highly advantageous.
  • Working towards a professional qualification such as the CFA.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income investments and analytics.
  • Advanced Excel skills with an interest in automation, coding and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Experience with Clearwater Analytics is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to BlackRock Aladdin and/or Bloomberg would be beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across investment, finance and treasury teams.
