Investment Asset Change Business Analyst
Location: London
Role Type: Permanent
Work Setup: Hybrid - 2 days in the office (one being Tuesday)

The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Investment Asset Change Business Analyst to join Robert Walters as a Consultant.
As a Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an assignment within our clients' organisations, in return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional support.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global business, providing top-tier service to our blue chip clients.
What You'll Do
- Map current and future state operating models, documenting end to end processes, data flows, risks and controls across front, middle and back office and their key interdependencies.
- Design and embed new asset and manager onboarding processes in collaboration with internal teams and external partners, ensuring robust governance, appropriate controls and scalable operating procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement and change governance by identifying, assessing and facilitating mitigation of operational risks arising from initiatives and transformation programmes.
- Analyse external and internal data sources to enhance data quality, reduce discrepancies and monitor operational risk trends, driving targeted remediation and control enhancements.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to understand impacts, challenge existing processes and ensure risks are appropriately considered, escalated and managed.
- Lead analysis for new asset origination and strategic initiatives, assessing the operational, regulatory and control implications of new asset classes, investment structures and onboarding activities.
- Ensure high quality, consistent analytical outputs-including risk assessments and control evaluations-to support operational excellence, informed decision making and regulatory compliance.

What You Bring
- 5-8 years' business analysis experience in investment management or financial services, delivering process, operational and change/risk initiatives.
- Able to map operating models and produce clear process maps, documentation and data flows using data‑mapping and modelling tools.
- Solid understanding of investment products, operational processes, data needs, risk management principles and internal controls across front, middle and back office.
- Experience identifying, assessing and documenting operational risks and control requirements; risk/control background highly desirable.
- Confident stakeholder manager with strong communication skills, able to handle competing priorities and deadlines in complex environments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and process/data‑mapping tools, with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical, problem‑solving skills.
