Hawk3 Recruitment is working with a leading UK wealth management and investment firm to recruit an Investment Assistant for their Portfolio Management team based in Worcester.
Our client provides bespoke investment management and wealth planning services to private individuals, families, charities, and businesses. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional client service, building long-term relationships, and helping clients achieve their financial objectives through tailored investment solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented administrator looking to build a career within investment management and financial services. You will play a key role in supporting Investment Managers with the day-to-day administration of client portfolios while ensuring high standards of client service and regulatory compliance.
The Role
As an Investment Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to Investment Managers, helping to ensure client portfolios are managed efficiently and accurately. Working closely with colleagues across the Portfolio Management team, you will support a range of administrative, operational, and client-focused activities while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Investment Managers and the wider Portfolio Management team.
- Prepare file notes, correspondence, and client documentation.
- Arrange client meetings and assist with meeting preparation.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships by delivering accurate and timely administrative support.
- Open and close client investment accounts.
- Process stock transfers and client payments.
- Maintain and update client information within internal systems.
- Produce reports using Excel and portfolio management systems.
- Support the execution and booking of trades in line with authorised instructions and company procedures.
- Process execution-only client orders for non-complex investment products where appropriate.
- Assist Investment Managers with client presentations, pitches, and reviews.
- Support wider team projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
- Maintain compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
- Continually develop industry knowledge and participate in relevant training.

You'll Ideally Have
- Previous administration experience within financial services, wealth management, or investment management.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
- A collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using investment or wealth management systems such as Avaloq would be advantageous.
- An RQF Level 3 CISI qualification (or equivalent), or a willingness to study towards this.
