Private Equity Associate, London

We're partnered with a UK-based private equity firm investing in founder-led and entrepreneurial businesses across a range of sectors. The firm has an established track record of partnering with management teams to support growth, operational improvement and strategic development. With a strong pipeline of new opportunities and an active portfolio, the team is seeking to add an Investment Associate to support continued growth.

Role Overview

The Investment Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals across all aspects of the investment lifecycle. The role offers broad exposure to origination, execution and portfolio management within a generalist investment mandate, providing significant responsibility and direct interaction with management teams, advisors and portfolio company stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the assessment and execution of new investment opportunities, including financial analysis, valuation and commercial assessment.
  • Build and maintain integrated financial models to evaluate investment returns, capital structures and downside scenarios.
  • Prepare investment papers, internal approval materials and presentations for investment committee discussions.
  • Conduct market, industry and company research to support investment screening, thematic work and deal origination activities.
  • Coordinate and support commercial, financial, legal and operational due diligence processes on live transactions.
  • Assist with transaction structuring, negotiations and execution, working alongside management teams and external advisors.
  • Monitor portfolio company performance, analyse operating and financial results, and contribute to value creation initiatives.
  • Support portfolio company management teams on strategic projects, acquisitions, financing activities and business planning.
  • Contribute to fundraising, investor reporting and broader firm-wide initiatives as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
