The Role
The main focus of the role will be proactive deal sourcing across the technology ecosystem. You will be expected to go beyond traditional databases and inbound deal flow. The ideal candidate is someone who knows how to find interesting companies early, understands what makes a technology business attractive, and is comfortable reaching out directly to founders, investors, and other ecosystem participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify promising technology companies, primarily in the US and UK.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential investment opportunities.
- Source deals through founders, VC funds, angel investors, accelerators, industry networks, events, and personal relationships.
- Develop relationships with founders and become a trusted point of contact for potential investments.
- Research emerging technologies, markets, sectors, and companies to identify attractive investment themes.
- Conduct initial assessments of companies, including business model, market opportunity, technology, growth potential, and competitive landscape.
- Prepare concise investment summaries and recommendations for the Family Office.
- Work closely with the investment decision-makers and support the broader investment process when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
