Investment Associate Director – Renewable Energy & Digital Infrastructure
Leap29 are working closely with a rapidly growing investment platform focused on BESS, solar, wind and digital infrastructure across the UK, Europe and GCC is seeking an experienced Investment Associate Director.
The platform is building a multi gigawatt portfolio backed by institutional capital, creating an opportunity to join at an exciting stage of growth and play a key role in the energy transition. This is a senior, hands-on role with direct exposure to the CIO and senior leadership, spanning transaction execution, origination and portfolio development.
The Investment Associate Director will lead the execution of acquisitions, joint ventures and project financings, owning financial analysis, modelling, due diligence coordination, valuation, structuring and transaction documentation from initial screening through to completion.
Working within a lean, entrepreneurial team, the successful candidate will work directly with senior leadership, manage external advisers and engage with developers, counterparties, co-investors and investors.

- Lead execution of acquisitions, JVs and project financings, coordinating legal, technical, tax, commercial and financial diligence.
- Build, review and audit detailed financial models across BESS, solar and wind; data centre experience advantageous.
- Lead valuation, structuring and scenario analysis across equity and debt investments.
- Prepare Investment Committee, Board and investor materials and support investment decision-making.
- Manage external advisers, ensuring quality, timelines and budgets are maintained.
- Support origination through market screening, pipeline development, indicative offers and relationship building.
- Apply strong knowledge of UK, European and GCC energy markets, including BESS revenue stacking, route-to-market strategies and trading dynamics.
- Support investor and co-investor due diligence and maintain strong external relationships.
Candidate Profile:
- 8–12+ years' experience in infrastructure, energy, private equity or a related investment environment.
- Strong track record executing complex transactions across M&A, JVs and project finance.
- Experience managing due diligence and advisers through to completion.
- Experience across individual assets and platform strategies.
- Deep renewable energy experience; BESS transaction experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of equity and debt financing structures.
- Data centre or adjacent digital infrastructure experience advantageous.
- Hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable owning workstreams end to end in a lean, flat environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with credibility across senior management, investors, advisers and counterparties.
