Our client is seeking an ambitious Investment Associate to join its growing hotel investment platform. This is an exceptional opportunity for an analytically strong investment professional to work alongside a highly experienced team responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and executing hotel investments across Europe.
Over recent years, the platform has evolved significantly, transitioning from a traditional owner-investor model into a sophisticated investment platform capable of deploying both proprietary and third-party capital. Today, the business combines institutional investment discipline with the agility of an entrepreneurial owner, offering employees direct exposure to acquisitions, investment committees, ownership, and senior decision-makers from the outset.
This role is designed for someone who already possesses a strong investment banking foundation and is looking to move into principal investing. Whilst previous hotel experience is not essential, a genuine interest in operational real estate and hospitality, coupled with exceptional financial modelling skills and intellectual curiosity, will be key to success.
What you'll do
- Working as part of the hotel investment team, you will support the underwriting, execution, and management of acquisitions across multiple European markets.
- Build detailed financial models, analyse investment opportunities, undertake commercial due diligence, and prepare investment papers for presentation to senior leadership and investment committees.
- Work across the full transaction lifecycle, collaborating with internal asset management, operations, finance, and commercial teams, alongside external advisers, lenders, and legal counsel to deliver complex hotel acquisitions and strategic investment opportunities.
- As the platform continues to expand, you will gain exposure to investments funded through both proprietary capital and institutional joint venture structures, providing a breadth of experience rarely found within traditional investment businesses.
- Unlike many investment firms, our client also operates its own hotel platform, giving investment professionals direct insight into operational performance and value creation beyond acquisition.
- The successful candidate will work closely with the wider investment leadership team, with regular exposure to CEO and the ownership group. The structure is intentionally lean, allowing Associates to take meaningful responsibility early in their careers while learning directly from highly experienced investors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
