Investment Associate – Software Growth Equity/Private Equity | London
A European private equity and growth equity fund focused on B2B software is expanding its investment team in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and execute transactions, managing deal workstreams and coordinating external advisors from initial screening through to closing.
- Develop, build, and review complex financial models (LBOs, growth equity models, cohort analysis) to evaluate returns, leverage, and capital structures.
- Lead comprehensive commercial and financial due diligence workstreams, deeply analyzing core SaaS metrics, unit economics, churn dynamics, and customer retention.
- Draft high-conviction investment proposals and present clear business cases directly to the Investment Committee.
- Support portfolio companies on post-acquisition strategic initiatives, follow-on acquisitions, scaling strategies, and operational performance.

Candidate Profile

- 3–6 years of experience within a technology-focused private equity/growth equity platform or a top-tier investment bank with strong software transaction experience.
- Demonstrated ability to think like an owner/sponsor, looking beyond the numbers to evaluate the operational and strategic viability of businesses.
- Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of SaaS unit economics, recurring revenue dynamics, and buyout underwriting.
- Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to build structured, high-quality investment memos.
- Collaborative, intellectually curious, and driven mindset with the ability to manage transaction workstreams independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
