This is a demanding role within an exceptionally active investment team. The successful candidate must be prepared for a high-intensity working environment, long hours, and multiple live workstreams. The team is actively deploying capital while simultaneously evaluating new opportunities and executing acquisitions for existing portfolio companies.

The role will suit someone who is genuinely hard-working, resilient under pressure, and motivated by significant responsibility and a steep learning curve.

  • Data, information, and technology-enabled services
  • Wealth management and independent financial advisory businesses
  • Insurance services and distribution
  • Accounting and professional services
  • Buy-and-build investment strategies

The Role

The Associate will work across the complete investment lifecycle, combining new platform investments with an active programme of bolt-on acquisitions.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities
  • Screening companies and assessing market attractiveness
  • Developing sector theses and mapping fragmented markets
  • Supporting proprietary sourcing and direct engagement with business owners
  • Building detailed financial and investment models
  • Conducting commercial, financial, and operational analysis
  • Coordinating due diligence processes with external advisers
  • Preparing investment committee materials
  • Supporting transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution
  • Working closely with portfolio company management teams
  • Assessing and executing bolt-on acquisitions
  • Monitoring portfolio company performance and strategic initiatives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
