We are working exclusively with a leading institutional infrastructure investment manager on an Associate hire within its Infrastructure Private Equity team, based in London.

Our client is a leading global infrastructure investor with a significant and growing platform and a strong track record of investing across Europe and North America. The team manages a substantial institutional mandate and invests across a broad range of infrastructure sectors and investment situations.

This is an opportunity to join a well-resourced, international investment platform with exposure to a diverse range of sectors, geographies and transaction types, working alongside experienced investment professionals throughout the full investment lifecycle.

The Role

This is a broad investment role covering the full deal lifecycle, from origination and execution through to portfolio management and value creation.

The successful candidate will work across a generalist infrastructure mandate, gaining exposure to a wide range of sectors and investment opportunities.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thematic sector research and supporting deal sourcing and origination
  • Evaluating new investment opportunities and developing investment theses
  • Executing transactions across individual due diligence and analysis workstreams
  • Building and maintaining detailed financial models and company valuations
  • Preparing investment memoranda and materials for Investment Committee
  • Participating in transaction negotiations and execution processes
  • Supporting portfolio company monitoring and asset management
  • Contributing to value creation initiatives alongside management teams and boards
  • Monitoring sector developments, market trends and potential investment opportunities

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong academic background from a leading university or business school
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing or strategy consulting
  • Genuine interest in infrastructure private equity and long-term real asset investing
  • Strong financial modelling capability and solid grounding in corporate finance and valuation
  • Experience analysing investment opportunities and/or supporting transaction execution
  • Commercially minded, intellectually curious and comfortable working across new sectors and geographies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent English required
  • Additional European languages would be advantageous
