The Firm

This is a global investment bank, specialising in M&A, capital raising, and strategic advice across the FS sector. The founding team brings decades of investment banking and operating experience, and the firm has advised on a large number of transactions across the sector. Regulated in both the UK and US.

Background

  • Analysts from bulge-bracket or boutique/independent M&A advisory firms
  • Big 4 M&A, corporate finance, transaction services, or valuations teams looking to move into pure advisory
  • Insurance M&A exposure is a strong advantage; broader financial institutions (FIG) experience is also welcome

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years' relevant experience in a FIG M&A environment
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with genuine attention to detail
  • Sound commercial judgement and the ability to work independently under deadline pressure
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
