Investment Banking Analyst | Venture Debt / Private Credit
London | £120k-£160k OTE

We’re partnering with a fast-growing venture debt advisory business to hire an Investment Banking Analyst for its London team.

We’re specifically looking to speak with Analysts who have trained within Investment Banking, ideally within a leading global bank or advisory firm, and are interested in applying that experience within the growing venture debt and private credit market.

Working with high-growth, technology and tech-enabled businesses, the team helps founders and management teams raise institutional debt capital to fund growth, acquisitions and expansion.

For someone interested in technology, high-growth businesses and the wider venture ecosystem, it offers an interesting alternative to the more traditional Investment Banking exit routes.

The Role:

  • You’ll work across live debt transactions, getting much closer to clients and senior decision-makers than you typically would at Analyst level.
  • Your remit will include:
    • Financial modelling and credit analysis
    • Assessing leverage, cash flows and debt capacity
    • Supporting the structuring and execution of debt financings
    • Preparing high-quality transaction and lender materials
    • Company, sector and market analysis
    • Supporting due diligence and lender processes
    • Working directly with founders, CFOs and financing partners

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why consider it?

  • This is an opportunity to take the training gained within Investment Banking and apply it in a smaller, entrepreneurial environment, with earlier client exposure and greater involvement across the transaction process.
  • You’ll work closely with founders, CFOs and institutional lenders, while building specialist experience across the rapidly growing venture debt and private credit markets.
  • It should particularly appeal to someone who enjoys the technical and transaction side of banking but wants to be closer to high-growth businesses and the venture ecosystem.
