A leading global banking group is expanding its advisory franchise in London. The platform combines senior sector relationships with the full weight of a global balance sheet, financing capability and cross border reach spanning Europe, the US and Asia. Deep sector coverage, integrated M&A and capital markets execution, and a genuine reputation across international markets.

The Opportunity

We are hiring an Associate to sit at the centre of live M&A and capital markets processes. You will own the analysis, build the materials that go to boards and buyers, and work directly with senior bankers who are recognised names in their sector, with the added weight of a global platform behind every mandate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute sell side and buy side M&A mandates, from pitch through to completion, alongside ECM and DCM advisory work as required
  • Build and own the valuation work including DCF, LBO, trading comparables, precedent transactions and sum of the parts analysis
  • Draft the deal materials that carry the story, including teasers, information memorandums, management presentations and board papers
  • Run diligence workstreams and the data room, coordinating legal, financial and commercial advisers
  • Support carve outs and platform or bolt on discussions alongside conventional M&A
  • Manage analysts on your deals and hold the quality bar on everything that leaves the team
  • Work directly with senior clients and counterparties, and start building the judgement that turns into origination later

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
