Your role
The UBS Global Banking Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team is looking for an investment banking professional who can:
- Make a positive contribution to transaction execution and client coverage activity
- Independently develop financial models and analytical tools to support valuation and strategic analysis
- Prepare high-quality presentations, pitch materials, and other client-facing documents
- Conduct research and develop insights into key industry, market, and business trends
- Actively participate in deal teams, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and contribute to a strong team-oriented culture

Your team
As an Associate in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team, you will be working across multiple sub-sectors, covering banks, insurance, FinTech, asset management, and specialty finance companies across the EMEA region. You will provide key analytical support and transaction execution and origination efforts, including mergers & acquisitions, execution of equity and debt capital markets transactions, and leveraged buyouts. We provide financial solutions to a whole range of clients, and offer advisory and analytics services in all major capital markets.

Your expertise
- A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, covering financial institutions
- Solid analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong financial modelling and technical skills with solid understanding of FIG sector
- Client and solutions focused, an excellent communicator
- You are a team player, even in challenging circumstances
- You are willing to learn and develop further and always looking to expand your skill set
