We are partnering with a well-established U.S. mid-market investment bank to appoint an Associate within its growing Healthcare Investment Banking team in London. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly entrepreneurial platform with an excellent reputation for advising founder-led businesses, private equity sponsors, and corporate clients across the healthcare sector.
The team has a strong cross-border franchise, working closely with colleagues across Europe and North America on complex M&A transactions, capital raises, and strategic advisory assignments. As deal activity continues to grow, they are seeking an ambitious Associate who is eager to take on significant responsibility and accelerate their career within a collaborative, high-performance environment.
The Role
As an Associate, you will play a key role in the execution of live transactions while supporting senior bankers in the origination of new business opportunities. You will lead day-to-day execution workstreams, mentor junior team members, and interact directly with clients, investors, and other transaction stakeholders.

- Executing domestic and cross-border M&A transactions across the healthcare sector.
- Preparing valuation analyses using DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, and LBO methodologies.
- Developing high-quality client presentations, information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing materials.
- Managing financial modelling and overseeing analytical work produced by Analysts.
- Coordinating due diligence processes and liaising with legal, accounting, and other external advisers.
- Supporting business development initiatives through market analysis, sector research, and pitch preparation.
- Building strong relationships with clients, private equity investors, and strategic acquirers.
- Contributing to a collaborative team culture while mentoring and developing junior professionals.
Candidate Profile
We are interested in speaking with candidates who possess:
- 3–6 years of investment banking experience, ideally within M&A or corporate finance.
- Previous exposure to healthcare, life sciences, healthcare services, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, or related sectors is advantageous, although strong sector-agnostic M&A candidates will also be considered.
- Excellent financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
- Experience managing multiple live transactions simultaneously.
- Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A bachelor's degree with a strong academic record; ACA, CFA, or equivalent qualifications are viewed favourably.
