Investment Banking Associate – Healthcare Team

London | Mid-Market Investment Bank

The Firm

Join a global mid-market investment bank in a period of growth, with a track record of completing successful M&A transactions across the healthcare sector. The Healthcare team leverages deep industry knowledge and long-standing relationships to maximise value for clients ranging from healthcare corporates to private equity-backed businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of Healthcare and MedTech M&A mandates and originate new business development leads
  • Coordinate and perform business due diligence across live transactions
  • Prepare high-quality marketing materials: management presentations, pitchbooks, teasers, and other client-facing documents
  • Conduct company valuations and financial analyses (DCF, trading comps, transaction comps, accretion/dilution)
  • Assist in the planning, marketing, and positioning of M&A engagements
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring quality, adherence to firm standards, and their professional development

  • 3–5 years of M&A deal execution experience from an investment bank, boutique advisory firm, or Big 4 corporate finance / M&A team
  • Experience in the following sectors is desirable – Healthcare, Tech, Business Services or Consumer.
  • Proven track record of completing multiple M&A transactions from pitch to close
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple M&A workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to value healthcare companies based on financial profile, strategic fit, and market attractiveness
  • Ability to work effectively in complex situations and deliver results under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and ability to innovate
  • Proactive, energetic, and enthusiastic; able to drive internal and transaction-related initiatives
