Associate / VP level – Tier 1 Investment Bank – Transportation & Logistics M&A – London
We are currently partnered with a leading Tier 1 Investment Bank that is looking to add an Associate or VP to their Transportation & Logistics M&A team in London. The team would also consider strong Director-level candidates for the right profile.
This is an opportunity to join a leading global Investment Bank, advising on buy-side and sell-side M&A, strategic advisory, and related transactions across the UK and Europe, with a specific focus on the Transportation & Logistics sector.
The team operates within a high-performing and execution-focused environment, offering significant responsibility, regular interaction with senior stakeholders and clients, strong deal exposure, and the opportunity to play an active role in both transaction execution and origination. There is a strong blend of strategic and sponsor-driven M&A, with exposure to complex cross-border transactions and leading financial sponsors and corporates.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions within the Transportation & Logistics sector, developing investment cases and transaction analyses.
- Build and review financial models and valuations, including DCF, LBO and comparable company / transaction analyses.
- Produce high-quality client presentations, information memoranda, management presentations and other marketing materials.
- Develop relationships with management teams, advisers, investors and other key stakeholders to support origination efforts.
- Work closely with senior bankers on strategic advisory and transaction execution, taking an active role in structuring, negotiating and executing transactions.
- Manage transaction workstreams and junior team members, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery across all aspects of the deal process.
- Support the development of client relationships and contribute to the broader growth of the Transportation & Logistics franchise.
Candidate Profile:

- Approximately 4 to 10+ years’ experience in investment banking, with a strong preference for candidates currently operating at Associate or VP level.
- Strong M&A experience within Transportation & Logistics or a closely related sector is preferred.
- Credible end-to-end M&A experience is essential, with exposure to both execution and client-facing responsibilities.
- Strong technical foundation in financial modelling and valuation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage transaction workstreams and take ownership of execution.
- Commercially minded, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a demanding, high-performance environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders and clients.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are beneficial but not essential.
- Strong Director-level candidates with a relevant sector background and established transaction / client experience will also be considered.
