Your Opportunity
Charles Schwab UK (CSUK) is an affiliate of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc, and operates primarily as a business development and marketing hub, promoting Schwab and its services in the UK. CSUK’s main function is to introduce UK resident clients to Schwab’s available products and services, and to assist CS&Co by ensuring that UK investors have a seamless experience between our UK and US operations.
The Investment Consultant is responsible for supporting branch business development and client loyalty goals by providing an exceptional client experience for leads/prospects and non-practice clients. The consultant will follow up on lead opportunities by phone or face-to-face meetings to convert prospects into clients, consolidate assets, help open new accounts and increase client engagement through effective onboarding. The consultant will also help with preparation and hosting of workshops. In doing so, the consultant will perform regulated activities and ensure full compliance with policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.

The Investment Consultant proactively works with potential clients to discuss their financial needs and to help them achieve financial fitness. The consultant engages prospects in needs-based dialogue to gain a thorough understanding of their needs and to position the appropriate Schwab products and services. The consultant reaches out to prospects primarily through outbound calling but also communicates with clients via group workshops, inbound calls, emails, video meetings and hard copy correspondence.
The consultants are also responsible for identifying and referring additional opportunities to both Senior Investment Consultants and International Financial Consultants as appropriate.
What you have
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years industry experience preferred in Brokerage, Asset Management & Banking
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and an ability to take initiative
- Degree holder in Finance, Economics or Business-related discipline
- Results driven, conscientious self-starter who possesses integrity, a strong work ethic and a passion for helping clients meet their financial goals and objectives
- Ability to quickly build trust, rapport, and relationships with clients, prospects, and Schwab colleagues
- Must have the desire to pursue appropriate professional designations
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize well
- Must have strong professional presence and communication skills (verbal & written) including interpersonal and influencing skills
- Ability to identify opportunities through needs-based analysis

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Financial Services industry experience strongly preferred
