With significant capital coming from a huge sovereign wealth fund, this senior role is pivotal to the platform's ambitions to create a European data centre portfolio over the next 3 years. The client already holds a significant DC investment portfolio across APAC and the USA is eager to deploy on both investment and development opportunities across Tier 1 data centre markets in the UK, Germany and Netherlands with a building interest in southern Europe. The focus will be on assets with pre-lets from developers; development of powered land, powered shell, fit outs with MEP and potentially full stack projects with SLA's.
The Role
- Lead the Group's investment activity across the above countries, to include asset acquisitions, development projects (of powered land) and M&A opportunities.
- Formulate market entry and exit strategies supported by deep dive analytical reviews to identify opportunities that enhance profitability and value creation.
- Originate and evaluate all opportunities, driving investment execution, reporting to the Head of Global Data Centres.
- Lead investment transactions end-to-end, including origination, research, deal evaluation, financial analysis, modelling, IC approval and execution.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across development, asset management, legal, finance and tax, as well as external advisers.

The Person
- You will have European Data centre investment experience and have a proven track record of originating and closing deals in this arena.
- You could come from a developer, investor or consultancy environment. Candidates coming from operators will also be considered if you have an investment background.
- If you are CFA qualified that would be highly advantageous.
- You will be used to operating at a senior level and be resourceful and self sufficient.
- You will be numerically very capable and proficient in detailed financial modelling.
- Excellent leadership skills with the desire to create and lead a team of professionals as the platform grows.
