Role Overview
As a pivotal leader within our investment team, you will be responsible for the strategic direction within the region. You will lead the management and construction of investment portfolios, while also driving sector research initiatives. A key focus for this role will be expanding our reach across Adviser Solutions and Wealth, ensuring a positive impact on both our clients and our market position.
In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
