Finatal is partnered with a specialist life sciences investment firm focused on backing innovative healthcare, biotechnology, medical technology and life sciences businesses across Europe and North America. The fund has an established track record of investing in high-growth companies and supporting management teams through key value inflection points, strategic transactions and scaling initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected investment platform in a senior leadership capacity, playing a key role across origination, transaction execution, portfolio management and strategic decision-making while working closely with Partners, management teams and fellow investors.
The Role
- Lead the sourcing, evaluation and execution of investment opportunities across the healthcare, life sciences and medical technology sectors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, management teams, advisors, investors and industry stakeholders to generate proprietary investment opportunities.
- Assess investment opportunities through detailed commercial, financial and strategic analysis.
- Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis and due diligence processes.
- Prepare and present investment committee materials, recommendations and strategic analyses.
- Take ownership of negotiations and transaction execution alongside Partners and senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams on strategic growth initiatives, financing activities and value creation projects.
- Support portfolio company boards and monitor portfolio performance against investment objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with co-investors, industry experts and advisers across the healthcare ecosystem.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the investment team.

Requirements
- 10+ years' experience across Venture Capital, Growth Equity, Private Equity or Investment Banking, with significant healthcare or life sciences exposure.
- Strong track record of leading and executing investments from evaluation through to completion.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare, biotechnology, medical technology or broader life sciences sectors.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to assess complex investment opportunities and support portfolio value creation initiatives.
- Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building capabilities.
- Exceptional academic track record.
