Investment Finance Manager
London | Hybrid | Permanent
Circa £80,000 plus Bonus and excellent Benefits
This is an opportunity to join a well-established investment business with a collaborative culture and a strong commitment to long-term sustainable investing. You'll work across a varied portfolio of investments, gain exposure to senior decision-makers, and play a meaningful role in supporting investments that deliver both commercial and social impact.
The Opportunity
You'll have responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of several investment portfolios, overseeing financial reporting, statutory compliance, liquidity management, and Board reporting. This is a broad role offering exposure to senior stakeholders, complex investment structures, and ongoing opportunities to improve processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Take ownership of day-to-day finance activities across multiple investment portfolios.
- Deliver accurate and timely management accounts and statutory reporting.
- Manage cashflow forecasting and liquidity across several investment vehicles.
- Maintain strong financial controls and support governance requirements.
- Prepare Board packs and reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Build effective relationships with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisers, and investment teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting efficiency.

Portfolio Responsibilities:
The role offers exposure across several specialist investment portfolios, including responsibilities such as:
- Reviewing management accounts prepared by third-party administrators.
- Managing subscriptions, redemptions, and investor cash flows.
- Monitoring investment valuations and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinating interim and annual audits.
- Managing financial close processes, drawdowns, and project funding.
- Reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns across multiple legal entities.
- Managing intercompany transactions, interest payments, dividends, and corporation tax payments.

About You
We're looking for a commercially-minded finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and working with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification with a minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience.
- Experience within investment management, funds, investment trusts, or wider financial services.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Strong communication skills and experience engaging with senior stakeholders, auditors, and external service providers.
- A proactive approach to improving processes and strengthening financial controls.
