Are you an Investment Funds Solicitor with 6+ years' PQE looking to join one of the UK's leading private funds practices at an exciting stage of growth?

The team advises on the full lifecycle of private investment funds, acting on fund formation, carried interest arrangements, co-investment structures, separate accounts, GP-led transactions, secondary transactions and ongoing regulatory and operational matters. Clients range from established global fund managers to first-time and emerging managers, spanning private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real estate, credit, energy and other alternative investment strategies.

Working closely with colleagues across Private Equity, Corporate, Tax, Financial Regulation and international offices, the team delivers commercially focused advice on complex, cross-border matters while supporting clients through every stage of the investment lifecycle. Following continued growth and market recognition, the team is investing further in its London practice, creating an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious senior lawyer to play a significant role in its future development.

The Role

This opportunity is ideal for an Investment Funds Solicitor with at least 6 years' PQE who is looking to take the next step within a growing, market-leading private funds practice.

Working alongside leading partners and senior lawyers, you will advise on a broad range of sophisticated private funds matters, taking a leading role on transactions while developing trusted relationships with an impressive client base. You will have significant client exposure, increasing responsibility for supervising junior lawyers and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of the practice.

Your work will include:

  • Advising on the structuring, establishment and operation of private investment funds across a variety of asset classes.
  • Drafting and negotiating key fund documentation, including limited partnership agreements, private placement memoranda, subscription documents and side letters.
  • Advising fund managers and investors on fund investments, co-investments and related transactional matters.
  • Supporting clients on regulatory, governance and ongoing operational issues affecting private funds.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers while taking an active role in managing transactions.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives, client pitches and the continued expansion of the team's market profile.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 6+ years' PQE with strong experience advising on private fund formation, structuring and related investment matters.
  • Excellent drafting and technical skills, with experience preparing and negotiating core fund documentation.
  • Commercially minded with strong client relationship and project management skills.
  • A collaborative approach with the confidence to supervise junior lawyers and take ownership of complex matters.
  • Enthusiasm for business development and building a long-term market profile.
