Investment Manager, Top Mid-Market Private Equity Location: London CP16272

The Opportunity Finatal are partnered with a highly regarded growth-focused private equity investor who are looking to add an Investment Manager to their investment team. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a high-performing platform with substantial capital to deploy, a strong track record of partnering with ambitious founders/management teams, and a clear sector-led investment approach.

The fund invests across Europe into high-quality growth businesses, with a focus on asset-light services businesses. The successful candidate will work closely with senior investors across the full deal lifecycle - from sourcing and evaluation through to execution, value creation work and exit planning.

The Role

  • Assessing new investment opportunities across the services landscape.
  • Working closely with senior team members to develop investment theses, review market dynamics and form clear views on value creation potential.
  • Supporting and coordinating diligence processes, including commercial and financial workstreams, advisor management and preparation of investment materials.
  • Reviewing and refining financial analysis and models, ensuring outputs are robust and commercially insightful.
  • Helping manage deal processes from initial review through to completion, including work on structuring, financing and transaction documentation.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with advisors, founders, management teams and wider market contacts.
  • Working with portfolio company leadership teams post-investment to support growth initiatives, track performance and contribute to strategic planning.

The Requirements

  • 4-7 years’ total experience across investment banking, corporate finance and/or private equity.
  • Strong preference for candidates with exposure to business/financial/tech-enabled services.
  • Strong preference for candidates with exposure to mid-market private equity transactions.
  • Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent academic track-record.
  • Experience working with management teams, advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • High levels of intellectual curiosity, humility and emotional intelligence.
  • Ambitious, collaborative and low-ego, with a genuine appetite to contribute to a strong team culture.
