Finance Department
The Finance Department supports the organisation’s strategic and financial objectives by providing robust financial planning, analysis and reporting. Working closely with teams across the business, the department delivers clear, data-driven insight to support investment decisions, business planning and performance management.
The team plays a central role in evaluating development and investment opportunities, bringing together financial, commercial, operational and market information to assess expected returns, key risks and alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Position Overview
Due to further development of the FP&A function, a new Investment Manager role has been created. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the successful candidate will be a key business partner to a suite of senior stakeholders, particularly CFO, CCO and CDO. We are looking for a detail orientated and analytical individual, who will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial insights and strategic support to senior leadership to drive business performance and decision making. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the role involves close collaboration with the Development Team (from Site Selection, New Site Development through to Construction), Commercial, Strategy and Operations teams. This is a high-profile position and there will be periodic FP&A tasks, as well as scenario planning and ad-hoc modelling, for example power and construction cost analysis models etc.
Requirements
- Experience in financial reporting, FP&A, investment analysis, corporate finance or a related finance role.
- Experience in the data centre; alternatively from infrastructure, real estate, energy or technology sectors is mandatory.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, including experience evaluating investment returns and project economics.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash-flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting and investment appraisal.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in the data centre, infrastructure, real estate, energy or technology sectors is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- A recognised professional accounting or finance qualification, or progress towards one, is preferred

Responsibilities
- Collate, validate and analyse financial and non-financial information from internal and external stakeholders to support investment decisions.
- Build, maintain and review investment and development underwriting models across the full project lifecycle, from land acquisition and permitting through customer contracting, construction and Ready for Service.
- Evaluate investment returns, cash flows, capital requirements, profitability and payback periods.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess key investment drivers, risks and potential outcomes.
- Partner with the Head of FP&A on site planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
- Coordinate inputs across Finance, Development, Commercial and Operations, constructively challenging assumptions and source data.
- Prepare clear reports and presentations for the CFO, C-suite and other decision-making forums, explaining performance drivers, forecasts and recommended actions.
- Identify material variances, emerging risks and changes to expected returns, and recommend corrective actions through regular commercial performance reviews.
- Maintain accurate, consistent financial models, reporting templates and supporting documentation.
- Build strong relationships with clients, partners and Group stakeholders, supporting cross-functional projects, new site launches and expansions.
