Investment Manager – Growth Capital, Reigate 22973
£70,000 - £80,000 + benefits
An established UK Private Equity and Investment business is looking to appoint an Investment Manager to join its growing South-East Investment Team.
This is a rare opportunity to join an experienced investment house deploying growth capital into ambitious, high-growth SMEs across the South-East of England.
The firm is particularly interested in candidates based in Surrey, Sussex or Kent who have strong connections within the region’s business and professional advisory communities.
You will be involved across the full investment lifecycle, combining new investment activity with ongoing portfolio management. Investments will typically range from £500,000 to £5 million and will support high-growth businesses across a broad range of sectors.

Responsibilities
- Originating new investment opportunities and developing relationships with local businesses, Corporate Finance Advisers, Accountants, Lawyers, investors, and other intermediaries
- Appraising potential investments, including financial analysis, modelling, due diligence, and development of investment theses
- Preparing investment papers and supporting presentations to Investment Committee
- Working with management teams and advisers on deal structures, terms, documentation, and transaction execution
- Supporting portfolio companies with growth strategy, performance monitoring, and exit planning
- Building strong relationships across the South-East business and investment community
Requirements

- 5+ years’ relevant experience gained in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, SME funding, Strategy Consulting, Professional Advisory, or another environment involving high-growth SMEs and their funding
- Ideally with professional qualifications such as ACA or CIMA
- Commercially minded, highly numerate, and analytical, with strong financial modelling skills and the confidence to build relationships with management teams, investors, and professional advisers
- An existing network across Surrey, Sussex, or Kent is particularly advantageous
- Genuine motivation to support a growing business within the South-East
- Ability to work from the Reigate office, with travel across the South of England and flexibility for some home working
