Job Opportunity: Investment Manager
We are working with a leading investment firm in London that is looking to hire an Investment Manager to join its Financial Services / FinTech investment team.
Following a recent capital raise, the firm is actively looking to deploy capital into high-growth, asset-light and technology-enabled Financial Services businesses across international markets.
The strategy focuses on businesses benefiting from the continued digitisation of financial services, including FinTech, payments, financial infrastructure, digital banking, InsurTech, lending and wealth technology.
The Role
The Investment Manager will take significant ownership across the full investment lifecycle, from origination and initial assessment through execution, investment committee and portfolio management.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities across Financial Services and FinTech
- Developing investment theses across attractive subsectors and emerging themes
- Building relationships with founders, management teams, advisers and intermediaries
- Leading detailed company, market and competitive analysis
- Owning financial modelling, valuation and investment return analysis
- Managing commercial, financial and operational due diligence workstreams
- Coordinating external advisers and transaction counterparties
- Preparing and presenting investment recommendations to the Investment Committee
- Supporting transaction structuring, negotiation and execution
- Working directly with portfolio company management teams on strategic initiatives and value creation
- Monitoring portfolio performance and identifying follow-on investment or exit opportunities
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the investment team

Candidate Profile
The firm is looking for a high-calibre investment professional with approximately 5–8 years of relevant experience.
Relevant backgrounds may include:
- Growth Equity or Private Equity, with exposure to Financial Services, FinTech or technology-enabled businesses
- Tier 1 Investment Banking – FIG / Financial Institutions M&A, combined with subsequent investing experience
- Investment professionals with a strong track record across asset-light Financial Services and FinTech

Candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong transaction execution experience
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis skills
- Good understanding of Financial Services and FinTech business models
- Ability to assess growth, market positioning, unit economics and investment returns
- Strong commercial and investment judgement
- Experience managing due diligence workstreams and external advisers
- Confidence interacting directly with founders and senior management teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate independently while working effectively within a lean investment team
- International outlook and interest in investing across multiple markets
