THE ROLE
The Investment team sits at the heart of campaign delivery, responsible for trading, optimising, and delivering best-in-class outcomes for our clients and agency partners, while ensuring key commercial and performance targets are met.
As an Investment Manager, you will play an integral role in this process, supporting Account Directors and Business Directors in the planning, delivery, and optimisation of campaigns while building your industry knowledge and commercial expertise.
Over time, you will take ownership of trading activity within an agency team or contribute to our Accountability & Performance function, helping to drive business performance, deliver exceptional client value, and support the achievement of our commercial objectives.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Deliver exceptional service to a portfolio of clients and agency partners, building strong and trusted relationships across all stakeholders.
- Lead trading and negotiation activities across assigned agency business, ensuring commercial objectives are achieved and pricing remains competitive and appropriate.
- Take ownership of campaign management, acting as the gatekeeper for all options and bookings processed through Plato.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of PRF, productivity processes, and client-specific investment strategies, ensuring these are reflected in trading decisions.
- Work closely with the Investment Business Director to understand market dynamics and campaign requirements before entering the market, including pre-tracking plans to optimise outcomes.
- Support and attend key client audits alongside Client and Investment Directors, helping to maintain transparency and best practice.
- Understand and contribute towards the achievement of departmental and commercial targets, supporting delivery across the assigned agency team.
- Partner with Planning teams to identify opportunities for client growth and development, including proactive engagement with dormant and non-user accounts.
- Act as a subject matter expert for assigned business areas, sharing market developments and industry insights both internally and externally.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow processes, and plan creation standards.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of media owners, their business priorities, and market positioning, acting as a brand ambassador internally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media owners, participating in the Media Owner Champions Programme to drive joint commercial success and best-in-class client service.
- Develop a broader strategic understanding of formats, environments, and media owners, identifying innovative and commercially viable opportunities for growth.
- Establish and maintain relationships with auditing partners and industry stakeholders.
- Maintain expert knowledge and effective utilisation of all relevant systems and tools, including Plato, Aristotle, and Atlas.
- Continuously develop industry expertise through internal and external training, site visits, and market engagement opportunities.
- Share knowledge, insights, and best practice across the team and wider business.
- Support wider company initiatives, including new business pitches, committees, and cross-functional projects.
