Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Role

You will need to apply your technical and leadership skills to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure Investment Operations are represented on a key project migrating customer policies to a new policy administration platform. You will be the first point of contact for all project activity and will be required to produce detailed requirements, test scope, and impact assessments. In addition to the preparation of such documentation, you will be required to present to, and achieve sign off from, senior business leaders.

You’ll need to be able to build on your existing investment operations expertise to quickly become a technical expert on how we administer our funds – we’ll make sure you’re fully supported on this. It’s critical that you take the lead, challenge how things are done, find solutions to problems, and guide others around you to do the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key Stakeholder Management – Take responsibility for engaging with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. Manage service issues to resolution.
  • Plan, oversee, and own team deliverables – Ensure accurate and timely delivery of the team’s activities, applying specialist knowledge as required.
  • Manage project plans and impact assessments to ensure Investment Operations requirements are both understood and delivered to.
  • Strategic input – Support the Investment Operations leadership team in identifying strategic change opportunities, develop collateral to support, and influence decision-makers on the future direction of Investment Operations.
