Investment Operations Manager

Bath City Centre – hybrid
Salary DOE

Our client, a successful wealth management platform that supports financial advisers to invest on behalf of their clients, is looking for an experienced Investment Operations Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the delivery, oversight, and continuous improvement of the investment operations function, and will have strategic influence across all investment operations activities – ensuring the efficient, accurate, and compliant execution of trading and investment servicing processes, while maintaining a strong risk and control environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership & People Management
    • Leading and developing their managers, specialists, and operational teams to deliver high levels of performance, quality, and client outcomes
    • Building organisational capability, ensuring effective resource and succession planning to meet current and future business needs
    • Promoting collaboration across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Customer Services while championing diversity, inclusion, and professional excellence

  • Trading & Investment Operations

    • Leading and overseeing trading, dealing, and investment operations, ensuring accurate execution, settlement, corporate actions, and asset administration
    • Managing operational risks, issues, and escalations, maintaining strong controls, service standards, and regulatory compliance
    • Managing relationships with key external providers, including custodians, counterparties, and fund managers
    • Supporting strategic change and growth, including new products, markets initiatives, system changes, and business projects
  • CASS & Reconciliations

    • Supporting the CASS Manager with oversight of client money, custody asset, and reconciliation processes, ensuring FCA compliance through effective controls
    • Overseeing CASS risks, incidents, breaches, audit requirements, regulatory reporting, and remediation
    • Working with Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit to maintain strong governance and operational standards
    • Driving operational excellence and risk awareness through active participation in the CASS Committee

Due to the nature of this role, proven experience of leading operational teams in a regulated financial service environment is required, preferably within investment, platform, or wealth management operations.
