Our 2026–2030 strategy is to positively impact 15–20 million lives by mobilising £20–30 billion of capital into investible solutions that tackle some of the UK’s biggest social and environmental challenges. We look to tackle challenges are across housing, economic opportunity, climate & energy and health. Since 2012, BSC has committed over £1 billion of our own capital to social impact investments, helping to grow the market 13-fold to £11 billion, as well as acting as portfolio manager for the Schroder BSC Social Impact Investment Trust (SBSI).
Our mission is to grow the amount of money invested in tackling social issues and inequalities in the UK, and engaging with other investors is an essential part of delivering that goal.
The opportunity:
This is a pivotal, varied role at the heart of our Investment Partnerships & Advisory team – the team that provides support and tools to investors to help them allocate more money to tackling social issues.
You will be the dependable engine room for our investor relations and regulated advisory work, keeping communications sharp, compliance records watertight, and investor engagement moving. It is a role for someone who is exceptionally organised, a confident writer, and comfortable working close to FCA-regulated activity.
As BSC implements its 2026 strategy, and looks to mobilise billions of additional investor capital, the Officer will help ensure investor communications, compliance records and engagement run to a consistently high standard.
What you will do:
Regulated advisory and compliance support
- Administering certain regulatory procedures such as financial promotions and partner due diligence.
- Providing compliance monitoring support.
Investor engagement and communications
- Responsible for drafting and distributing regular investor and advisory newsletters.
- Supporting on the creation of thought leadership pieces and investor FAQs.
- Maintaining and updating the CRM system (Salesforce).
- Monitoring news and regulatory developments for engagement triggers, maintaining engagement plans and ensuring engagement takes place as planned.
- Supporting on the production of high-quality financial reporting and investor communication materials, including presentations and case studies.
- Managing responses to due diligence and other ad hoc investor requests.
- Creating investor briefing notes, summarising meetings and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
Events management
- Overseeing the team’s events calendar and attendance including sourcing relevant events to attend, as well as securing and preparing for speaking opportunities.
- Planning and facilitating the smooth running of BSC-hosted investor-facing events.
Investor networks support
- Coordinating and engaging with the steering committee for the Future Impact Finance (FIF) network.
- Onboarding new network members and maintaining membership records and mailing lists.
- Providing logistical support for FIF network and Investment Partnerships & Advisory events.
- Helping manage BSC’s strategic support relationships, including acting as the liaison point across BSC.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
