Job Title: Investment Performance & Risk Analytics Associate

Location: Edinburgh

Contract: Initial 12 months contract

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days per week in the Edinburgh office

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Performance & Risk Analytics Associate to join JP Morgan in Edinburgh on an initial 12 month contract.

This is a client-facing investment operations and analytics role, supporting the delivery of performance and risk reporting to institutional investment clients. You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, timely and aligned to client requirements.

The Role:

You will be responsible for supporting the preparation and delivery of investment performance and risk reports, responding to client queries and supporting client change requests, onboarding and wider projects.

The role requires someone with a strong understanding of investment performance and risk analytics, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver investment performance, attribution, contribution and ex-post risk reporting.
  • Analyse data and investigate performance and risk-related queries.
  • Respond directly to client queries relating to reporting and analytics.
  • Document and implement client reporting and change requests.
  • Coordinate responses across internal and offshore stakeholders.
  • Support new client onboarding activities.
  • Maintain strong operational controls and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Support projects and non-BAU initiatives across the wider team.
  • Communicate complex analytical information clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in investment performance and risk analytics.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working in a client-facing environment.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and investment products.
  • Experience analysing and interpreting large datasets.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and teams.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience within investment management, asset management, funds or investment operations.
  • Experience with performance measurement, attribution, contribution or ex-post risk reporting.
  • Experience working with investment performance platforms such as FactSet or similar systems.
  • CFA, CIPM or other relevant investment qualification.
