About PIC
Pension Insurance Corporation (PIC) helps secure the pensions of current and future policyholders through strong risk management, exceptional customer service, and market-leading asset and liability management.
We're building a new Investment Platform Services (IPS) team to own and evolve our relationship with BlackRock's Aladdin platform following a major implementation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly created team and play a key role in shaping how the platform supports our investment business.
The Opportunity
As an Investment Platform Services Manager, you will be a key Aladdin expert within the business, helping investment and operations teams maximise the value of the platform while driving adoption, change, and continuous improvement.
Working closely with stakeholders across Investments, Investment Operations, Technology, Change, and BlackRock, you'll support the successful embedding of Aladdin and help define the future roadmap of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for BlackRock Aladdin, providing support and guidance to users across the business.
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with BlackRock, including issue resolution, enhancements, upgrades, and platform governance.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions that improve investment processes and workflows.
- Drive user adoption and support business change initiatives linked to the platform.
- Assess and manage the impact of platform enhancements and new functionality.
- Monitor risks, controls, and governance requirements, ensuring the platform operates effectively within a regulated environment.
- Produce reporting and insights on platform performance, business impacts, and future opportunities.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of PIC's investment platform strategy and operating model.

Essential Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with BlackRock Aladdin.
- Experience working with investment and investment operations teams.
- Knowledge of investment processes, including:
- Trading
- Order Management
- Portfolio Construction
- Compliance
- Settlements
- Reconciliations
- Corporate Actions
- Experience delivering platform, system, or process enhancements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with external vendors and technology partners.

Desirable Experience
- Fixed Income and Derivatives knowledge.
- Experience with Finbourne LUSID and/or Murex.
- Experience within asset management, insurance, pensions, or broader financial services.
- Understanding of PRA and FCA regulatory requirements.
