Datacenter Dynamics is looking for an ambitious financial business journalist to join our growing editorial team to support our coverage of the digital infrastructure industry.

With more than 23 million page views a year and a community measuring in the hundreds of thousands, DCD is a media, conference, and training company that serves the digital infrastructure market.

DCD is looking for an experienced investment reporter/editor seeking to cover the investment side of the digital infrastructure market.

As well as covering M&A, earnings reports, equity fundraising, debt, and IPOs for data center and telecoms companies, you will further DCD’s coverage through interviews with chief financial officers at companies building the new wave of AI and leaders at investment firms funding this new build-out.

You will be expected to write daily news stories for our audience of data center owners, operators, and suppliers, as well as write regular features for our website, magazine, and supplements. Further down the line, you would be involved in occasional podcast episodes and panel hosting online and in-person events, as well as video content.

  • Financing and debt raises
  • Equity fundraising
  • Insurance & risk
  • IPOs and share prices
  • Investment trends in the digital infrastructure space
  • Perspectives from data center CFOs
  • Perspectives on digital infrastructure from investment firms

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing and writing news for the website and longer features for the magazine
  • Helping create video and podcast content, hosting panels and webinars
  • Meeting and interviewing key members of the data center industry, locally and abroad
  • Attending DCD’s own events and wider industry events globally
  • Representing the company professionally, demonstrating the company’s culture and values at all times

Ideally, you will have:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent (for example, NUJ accreditation)
  • Some journalism experience covering the investment space
  • An understanding of investment markets and mechanisms
  • An interest in the technology industry

This role will be a mix of office and remote working; DCD’s office is based in London. Some international travel will be expected on occasion.
