Our colleagues at RSMR are looking to hire a new team member with excellent investment research experience within the advisory and provider sectors.

You might already be in a Research Manager role or working as an IFA and undertaking significant investment research as part of your role.

About Us

RSMR is part of the Fintel family and sits within our Software and Data division along side Defaqto, AKG and a number of our other highly respected brands. It provides independent investment research services to the advisory and provider sectors.

How do RSMR do this? They provide bespoke portfolios, fund lists plus specific research and due diligence for advisers and in addition, specific research and analysis work for providers. The company has a separate DFM business - RSMR Portfolio Services - and runs discretionary portfolios for clients.

The RSMR list of rated funds continues to expand and is firmly established as one of the key influences for advisers when selecting funds for their client recommendations. Their online Research Hub provides access to our research on a ‘free to view’ basis.

RSMR ratings cover the following:

  • Single strategy active funds
  • Passive/tracker/index funds
  • Responsible funds
  • Multi-asset fund ranges
  • Investment trusts

These ratings are based on both a quantitative and qualitative approach with greater weighting on a forward looking view based on in-depth meetings with the fund managers/teams.

What you'll do

Fund Management Groups:

  • Conduct fund manager meetings as appropriate and also attend fund manager presentations and seminars, creating research notes in line with standard operating procedures and SLAs
  • Provide input to ensure the maintenance and integrity of the company’s fund review process and methodology, attend the monthly Fund Review Committee and quarterly Asset Allocation Committee meetings and contribute to other developments as appropriate
  • Provide input into the ratings service ensuring this remains ‘leading-edge’ and responsive to the evolving regulatory environment
  • Contribute to the production of fund videos and virtual panels working with media and creating output where required for webinars and broadcasts.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
