Job Purpose (Job Summary): The Investment Risk Consultant will play an important role in assisting the Investment Risk functions to execute the overall strategy of efficiently and effectively building future-state risk and analytics related functionality and workflow as part of a global initiative. The position will play a key role participating in all risk related project initiatives, building capabilities, outsourcing performance measurement functions to third-party administrators, collaborating with vendors, actively participating in team discussions, and coordinating across departments to effectively deliver on team objectives.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Lead and/or active participation in various risk and analytics projects related to the program.
- Assisting in the development and migration of reporting and analysis of risk metrics.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and third-party providers. Monitor vendor deliverables, timelines, and service-level agreements.
- Will need to be able to assess the importance of any given request or problem, manage the flow of information surrounding the item, and ensure proper resolution.
- Collect, validate, and organize data from internal and external sources. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across reporting platforms.
- Implement quality control processes to verify the integrity of data and platforms. Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, methodologies, and data sources. Facilitate knowledge transfer and training for internal teams as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business goals. Communicate findings and updates to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- Support integration of third-party tools with internal systems. Troubleshoot and escalate technical issues related to data feeds or reporting tools.

Work Experience / Knowledge

- Understanding of OTC derivatives swaps, swaptions, OTC vanilla and exotic options, Equity-linked notes, TRSs.
- Understanding of MSCI Risk Manager (or similar risk platform Axioma, Northfield). Knowledge of modelling and operational implementation experience of OTC derivatives into Risk Manager; good knowledge of RML, Web Services.
- Good organizational and communication skills able to work effectively across the seniority spectrum.
- Good with collating documentation and structuring it in an intuitive way to evidence implemented instruments.
- Understanding of Barra is preferred.
- Experience in code and test programming using Python, R, VBA, SQL or equivalent is preferred.
- Project management knowledge highly desired.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, and countries is required.
