The Role

The private credit fund is hiring an Investment Risk Manager focused on Private Credit, based in London. This is a second-line-of-defence risk role covering the ongoing assessment and monitoring of investment risk at both portfolio and deal level across private credit strategies, including primaries, secondaries, and co-investments.

The individual will work closely with investment teams and portfolio management teams, attending relevant Investment Committees and reporting to Risk Committees and Fund/AIFM Boards. The role also involves building out risk processes and analytical tools as the function develops.

Likely Focus

  • Monitor portfolio-level and deal-level investment risk across private credit primaries, secondaries, and co-investments
  • Oversee adherence to LPA limits, internal soft targets, and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Assess proposed changes to internal portfolio limits and targets against risk profiles
  • Produce risk analytics for review and discussion with investment and portfolio management teams
  • Attend Investment Committees for the relevant private credit area
  • Conduct in-depth risk reviews of deals and portfolios as required
  • Report on portfolio management activities and present findings to Risk Committees and Fund/AIFM Boards
  • Develop and refine analytical tools to improve portfolio monitoring
  • Support the build-out of the broader risk framework, processes, and oversight model
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policy, including reporting compliance risks

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
