About The Role

This is an exciting and newly created opportunity to help shape and build our High Net Worth capability within one of the UK's leading wealth management businesses. We're looking for an investment professional who can combine strong technical investment expertise with the confidence, credibility and agility to engage our clients, Partners and senior stakeholders. As part of our Investment Management team, you'll act as a visible ambassador for our investment approach, helping clients and partners understand how we're positioning portfolios, navigating markets and delivering long-term outcomes.

While highly client-facing, this is not a sales role. Instead, you'll be a trusted investment expert who can inspire confidence, build strong relationships and translate complex investment concepts into clear, engaging and practical discussions. As we continue to evolve our High Net Worth offering, this role presents a unique opportunity to help build new capabilities, influence how we support increasingly sophisticated client needs and play a key role in the future growth of the proposition.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging presentations, webinars, events and face-to-face meetings with Partners and clients.
  • Communicate our investment philosophy, market views, asset allocation decisions and portfolio positioning with clarity and confidence.
  • Build trusted relationships across the Partnership, becoming a valued and credible investment expert.
  • Support Partners in client meetings, helping to provide reassurance, insight and confidence in SJP's investment approach and products.
  • Engage directly with High Net Worth clients, contributing specialist investment expertise to for nuanced wealth conversations.
  • Explain complex investment themes in straightforward and accessible language without losing technical accuracy.
  • Demonstrate the agility to navigate a wide variety of investment discussions, adapting quickly when conversations move beyond the planned agenda.
  • Support investment governance activities and contribute to the smooth operation of key investment forums and decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to thought leadership activity, market commentary and media engagement where appropriate.

About You

You'll be an accomplished investment professional with strong technical knowledge and exceptional communication skills. You may come from wealth management, private banking, asset management, investment consulting or a similar environment where you've developed credibility with advisers, clients or senior collaborators.

You'll thrive in conversations with experienced investment professionals. You will be comfortable discussing a broad range of investment topics. These include market outlooks, portfolio construction, and more complex investment structures and solutions. You'll be someone who builds trust naturally, combines gravitas, calmness and sound judgement with the ability to think on your feet, inspire confidence and create meaningful relationships. You'll enjoy being visible, presenting regularly and acting as a trusted representative of the Investment Management team.

Essential Criteria

  • Significant experience within wealth management, private banking, asset management, investment consulting or a related investment environment.
  • Strong knowledge of investment markets, asset classes, portfolio construction and investment strategies.
  • Experience presenting investment content to clients, advisers or senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly and confidently to a range of audiences.
  • Experience building trusted relationships and establishing credibility with sophisticated investors or professional audiences.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of client needs within a wealth management environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the UK to support Partners, clients and business activities.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working directly with High Net Worth or Ultra High Net Worth clients.
  • Background within private banking, discretionary wealth management, investment strategy, portfolio management or fund management.
  • Knowledge of tax-efficient investment solutions, business relief, offshore investing or wider wealth structuring considerations.
  • Understanding of derivatives, currency management, hedging strategies or alternative investments.
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA or related experience, CISI, CAIA or equivalent.
  • Experience contributing to investment thought leadership, media commentary or industry events.
