What it's about
The Investment Tax team oversees all tax aspects of Partners Group's investment activities across Europe and APAC.
In this role, you will advise on complex international tax matters across multiple asset classes, working closely with investment professionals, senior business stakeholders and external advisors.
Your responsibilities:
- Advise on the tax aspects of transactions across Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Private Credit and Royalties
- Manage tax due diligence, structuring and exit planning for complex direct and fund investments across Europe
- Support the Head of Investment Tax and the wider team on strategic tax initiatives and monitor legislative developments across Europe
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and oversee the quality and delivery of their work
- Develop practical tax processes and frameworks across the investment platform
- Work with portfolio companies on tax-related value creation opportunities
What we expect

Your experience and qualifications:
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in a tax advisory firm, law firm or investment management environment
- Strong expertise in European transaction tax matters
- Experience with the taxation of investment funds and their investors
- Ability to navigate complex situations, identify key issues and communicate clearly with both tax and non-tax stakeholders
- Strong understanding of the legal, financial and commercial considerations that impact investment decisions
- Strong academic background in Tax, Law, Finance, Economics or a related field, ideally complemented by a professional tax qualification
- Fluency in English; German is a plus
