Investment Associate – Private Markets

Location: London

Team: Investments

Seniority: Associate

About ROYC

ROYC is a private markets investment and technology company expanding access to institutional-quality opportunities. We partner with asset managers and private wealth institutions to structure, distribute and manage investment solutions across private equity, private credit, infrastructure and secondaries.

The Opportunity

ROYC is seeking an Investment Associate to join its London team.

You will support the full investment lifecycle—from screening and due diligence through investment committee approval, execution and portfolio monitoring. The role involves analysing fund managers, strategies, track records, portfolios, markets and fund terms, while translating complex investment information into clear recommendations and client materials.

This is an opportunity to gain broad exposure to private markets investing, portfolio construction and technology-enabled distribution within a growing, entrepreneurial organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Screening and Due Diligence

  • Screen private markets fund opportunities across private equity, private credit, infrastructure and secondaries.
  • Assess managers, strategies, markets, portfolios, track records, fund terms and key risks.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of performance, value creation, cash flows, benchmarking and portfolio companies.
  • Evaluate investment teams, sourcing, decision-making, governance, succession, alignment and key-person risk.
  • Review data rooms, fund documents, due diligence questionnaires, ESG information and third-party reports.
  • Participate in manager meetings, reference calls and other confirmatory diligence.
  • Prepare screening papers, investment committee materials and balanced investment recommendations.
  • Support market, sector, strategy and competitor research.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
