Investor Relations Associate

Manchester | Hybrid | Full Time | £35k – 40K + Bonus DOE

We combine deep sector knowledge with a targeted, data-led approach to investor engagement to help clients connect with the right investors at the right time.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a growing specialist advisory business, helping healthcare and digital health clients connect with the right investors.

Working closely with clients, partners and campaign teams, you will build relationships, identify opportunities and help turn investor interest into meaningful conversations.

This role would suit an engaging, commercially minded and organised person who is client-focused, communicates confidently and enjoys creating momentum.

What you will be doing

  • Identify and prioritise investor engagement opportunities across live fundraising campaigns.
  • Follow up warm investor leads and help convert interest into active conversations.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with investors, clients and market participants.
  • Provide clear and professional client communication, helping to keep campaigns focused and on track.
  • Coordinate activity across live campaigns, maintaining clear plans, priorities, actions and deadlines.
  • Support targeted investor communications and marketing activity.
  • Use CRM data and campaign insight to guide outreach and decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate pipelines and clear visibility of activity, progress and next steps.
  • Support the preparation of high-quality investor-facing materials and communications.
  • Share market insight and investor feedback to help improve campaigns and build the company’s profile across the healthcare and investment community.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • A client-focused and engaging communicator, with the confidence and credibility to build relationships with investors, clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in corporate environments, consulting, business development, project delivery or a similar commercial environment.
  • A strong understanding of or demonstrable interest in digital health, healthcare, life sciences or another innovation-led sector.
  • Able to understand complex healthcare and commercial concepts and translate them into clear, credible and engaging investor communications.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to bring structure and momentum to multiple campaigns, priorities and deadlines.
  • A confident brand ambassador, representing the company whilst building awareness in the market and helping strengthen its profile through every investor interaction.
  • Analytical and commercially minded, with confidence using data and insight to inform activity and identify opportunities.
  • Comfortable managing pipelines and CRM systems, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Positive, proactive and naturally curious, with a willingness to take ownership and create momentum.
  • Based within commuting distance of Manchester city centre and willing to work from the office regularly.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting fundraising, investor engagement or transaction activity.
  • Direct professional experience within digital health, healthcare, health technology or life sciences.
  • Experience coordinating projects, campaigns or multiple stakeholder workstreams.
  • Salesforce or other CRM experience.
  • Professional services or advisory experience.
  • Degree qualified, ideally in a scientific, healthcare, or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
  • An interest in AI tools and technology-enabled ways of working.

What success looks like

Success in this role will be about creating momentum, building credible relationships and helping convert investor interest into meaningful engagement, while bringing structure and discipline to campaign delivery.

Over time, we would expect the successful candidate to:

  • Develop a strong understanding of Oyster’s proposition, sectors and approach to investor engagement.
  • Build confidence working across live mandates and coordinating multiple campaigns.
  • Create structured and disciplined investor outreach, follow-up and campaign activity.
  • Turn data and engagement signals into meaningful conversations and opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with investors, clients and colleagues.
  • Bring ideas and insight that strengthen campaign effectiveness over time.

Ultimately, success will be measured by the quality of investor engagement, effective campaign delivery and your contribution to creating momentum across Oyster’s fundraising activity.
