At the Melton, our purpose is to sustainably create homes and build thriving communities. Our success is built on the dedication of our people, who put our customers, members, and communities at the heart of everything they do.

NEXA Finance Limited is a subsidiary of the Melton and is an alternative lending business which arranges secured finance for commercial SME borrowers for residential property development, with funding provided on a peer-to-peer lending basis by the Society and other institutional investors.

We’re looking for a confident and commercially minded Investor Relations Manager to play a key role in growing and strengthening investor relationships.

About the role

The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for managing and enhancing relationships with existing and prospective investors.

The key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Developing and implementing annual engagement plans for building Nexa’s investors, ensuring alignment with Nexa’s growth strategy and income objectives.
  • Building and maintaining strong investor relationships, providing guidance, insights, performance updates, and ongoing support to encourage long-term partnerships.
  • Working closely with the Head of Nexa Finance to proactively identify and approach new investor prospects, presenting the Nexa value proposition and fostering strategic relationships.
  • Presenting credit approved cases to investors in a clear and compelling way, responding to queries and providing timely accurate information to support funding decisions.
  • Ensuring effective communication and delivery of investor propositions, monitoring outcomes and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Monitoring performance against targets, sharing best practices, and recommending improvements across third-party investor performance.
  • Overseeing investor-related Heads of Terms, ensuring they are executed and maintained.
  • Partnering with the Marketing Manager to develop and deliver investor marketing strategies that support Nexa’s objectives.
  • Leading on projects to support the continued development of Nexa.
  • Attending relevant Committees.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
